Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted April 10, 2008 Root Admin Posted April 10, 2008 Mr Babler, J.L. (SKMO) arrived at an access just south of the MO border... Bill can tell you what the access name is. The lake was backed up about a mile up from this point and that's where we headed. Saw 2 other boats all evening- one down from the ramp and one up. The guy up was trolling something and catching fish. We found out later he caught his limit of whites and one big walleye. We ended up catching alot of whites, all males and mostly small. We kept 24 one-pounders- good eaters. Mostly on white swimming minnows, white or purple jig and a few on other colors of sm's. Found them in slack water off current. Water temp 53, green, dingy water. Great fishing!! Left at dark at the first crack of lightning.
hoglaw Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 Sounds like your access was "Romp Hole." It's the last public access before the state line.
