Clay Goforth Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 With all the flood photos and losses I thought I would throw some pictures of God's glorious work out there to remind us that while nature can be devastating it is always beautiful. twosets Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 Clay Those are really great shots. Were exactly were they taken, and how far is this from Branson? Am looking forward to my new rod. George "This is not Nam. This is bowling. There are rules."
Terry Beeson Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 George, It's about halfway between Pettigrew and Red Star... It's on Hwy 16 west of the Buffalo River headwaters. It's about a two hour drive from Branson, but the neat drive would be to go down Hwy 7 and take 16 to Deer and over. But that adds some time and distance. That area is really beautiful and at times you'll think you're in a Burt Reynolds/Ned Beatty movie... But there are a few streams along the way that just BEG to be fished... Did you see any elk in the area, Clay? I'm betting they may be fanning out some from the Boxley area...
