brittsnbirds Posted April 18, 2008 Author Posted April 18, 2008 The forecast must have changed since I last checked, darn. I forgot I had a brake problem on the Pop up last time I was down. I've got to get that fixed and am running out of time as I have a full weekend at work. Just checked the weather.com 10 day and your right, it looks like it could be soggy. I don't mind rain but it appears that it will be all week. That doesn't let the stream go down much! Pat
NoLuck Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 Hey Guys, For years when I was younger in the spring it was always high water. We all just got used to the low water that has been the norm for the last 6-7 years. I admit I like fishing in the lower clearer water too. I tend to like sight fishing and dry fly fishing. Stabil water and clearer water will all fix most of our desires for midge and dry fly fishing. Just be glad that we are not worried about the spring drying up. Hopefully we will all get down to Bennett sometime soon in better fishing conditions. See you all soon, Rich
brittsnbirds Posted April 21, 2008 Author Posted April 21, 2008 Just checked the extended forecast, they say there is a 40% chance of rain for Thursday and Friday. Looked at the hourly outlook for those days and there is nothing more than 20% by the hour listed?? Oh well as long as it is semi-warm I can handle a little rain. So the dog and I will be heading out Wednesday after work!! Weavers site said the same as usual, deep and in slack water with bright colors. I also noticed that the water level has dropped approximately 1/2 foot in the last few days. If I read it right. Who knows maybe I can coax a few into rising up by the gauge house!! Woo hoo fish on!!!! Pat
