Shoal Creek is looking good, fished just above capps creek yesterday, a few miles above capps creek. Caught a lot of sunfish, and a few big chubs. Here is a pic of the biggest sunfish, I caught maybe 20 total in a few hrs fishing.

Still needed a heavy bugger or clouser type fly to get down deep.

There were a lot of deer and turkey around yesterday, I guess the gusty winds had them all stired up. I put a few pics of them up to. I'm so glad spring is here. Fishing is getting better everyday.

It still looks a little muddy and stained over by Joplin, but I'm sure that will clear up over the weekend if no more heavy rains hit!

Hey Ollie, it's looking great around the Neosho area. Really good Neosho and east.

I always go over Shoal on my way to work. Tonight it did look better than yesterday and this morning. Even when it runs "clear" and I use that term loosely because it isn't like other streams around here. Anyways it does look better.

Its not going to run "gin" clear like Indian or Elk. It will run clear like its neighbors to the north, the Spring and Center. Those on the fringe of the ozarks run a little different than those straight out of the hills.

Oh, I know. I've been around here most of my life. It's all the farm run-off and flat plains that drain into it. Different terain that's for sure.
