Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted April 29, 2008 Root Admin Posted April 29, 2008 Vince and I put in across from Walleye Haven this evening and boated up Powersite. Fished the Forsyth side in the big eddie and caught 6 whites, 2 keeper crappie and a keeper walleye on white jigs. Water was about 12-18 feet deep and we picked them off the bottom. I think it was a slow evening- I think there's alot more fish than what we saw there. Be careful of the current- it's really wild getting up there.
Members 2bfishn Posted April 30, 2008 Members Posted April 30, 2008 I talked to Vince yesterday. Sure hope you didnt put any scratches on his new boat Phil . He said it was a little rough finding the slot through the brush back to the truck.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted April 30, 2008 Author Root Admin Posted April 30, 2008 Yea- without a flashlight it was interesting. But we made it. Boats are meant to be scratched!
Fishhand Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 I went on Sunday and put in at the same spot. I put a big red glove on one of those trees on the flooded field side marking the access spot. I would have left it there, but, couldn't afford to lose it. I'll probably go back Saturday, so, I'll be sure and tie a ribbon on the tree. Also, the powerlines downstream of the Highway 76 are hanging just above the lake. Be careful and try to stay on the right or left side when boating up to the bridge.
