JobyKSU Posted May 24, 2008 Posted May 24, 2008 It looks like I will find myself in north eastern Alberta for at least the next 6 months or so. I'll be living on one of many lakes containing perch, walleye, whitefish, and some amazing pike (with big pointy teeth!) I've spent the last week or so tying *big* flies and building a second 8-wt rod. I should be arriving right after pike spawn, so the first 3 weeks I'm there should be fantastic. After that slows down all of the creeks and tributaries around hold wild Arctic Grayling so I'll be able to give my light gear a workout too. I'll also be within day-trip's distance of the Bow river and some mountain streams holding wild brookies and such. While I was hoping that I would be able to get one more day wading before I left, it looks like that's not going to happen. Never-the-less, if anyone has been in the area, drop me a line and let me know if you have any suggestions. ::. JobyKSU Tippet Breaker Extraordinaire
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted May 24, 2008 Root Admin Posted May 24, 2008 6 months? On a job or extended sabbatical? Sounds like tough duty! When do you leave?
JobyKSU Posted May 24, 2008 Author Posted May 24, 2008 Going up for a little of both (job / sabatical). The opportunity popped up and I snatched it. I should be unpacking two weeks from today. You know, right around the time that temperature and humidity here starts hitting 95. ::. JobyKSU Tippet Breaker Extraordinaire
