Brian Wise
Took a writer from Bass Pro, the PR guy from Bass Pro, and a great gal from the Springfield Division of Tourism on the river. Basically the writer was the main fisherman--never fished with a fly rod in his life. After a little casting instruction at ROLF we hit the water. Fishing was quite a bit slower than it had been (imagine that...with a writer in the boat) but he did catch some fish and tangled with his first wild trout on the fly....or any fish on the fly for that matter. Pretty good fish for the first fish on the fly maybe a 16" rainbow that made a couple of insane runs on him. Rubber-legs, RFSN's, San Juans--period. The obligatory "cool guys" photo.. Brian Wise
Yeah Huz, he was pretty excited. Hooked that fish in a deeper hole dead on the bottom...it immediately came straight to the top and flew out of the water. It was cool.
