Members HeavyC Posted June 13, 2008 Members Posted June 13, 2008 No one is kiddin here! I haven't studied this much since high school! (ok allright, I lied, I was a slacker in high school, maybe junior high then:)) I have been readin & readin & readin & readin & readin & reeadin & reaaddin & readiiin & rreadinn & reading, for several months now and I just cannot get enough! These folks are super that is no doubt! I am so appreciative of all the feedback. I have been poking through archives from around the time of year I will be visiting (around Labor Day) and there is surely some great stuff out there! Let alone all the real time updates these guys put up everyday! I am addicted no doubt! At least these fine gents help curb my other addiction.......... buying tackle! Thanks again everyone! HC Out! HC Out! "Imagine reaching for an apple on a tree and having your hand suddenly impaled by a metal hook that drags you—the whole weight of your body pulling on that one hand—out of the air and into an atmosphere in which you cannot breathe. This is what fish experience when they are hooked for “sport.” - Does this make us sportsmen? - HC
Trav Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 Same goes for Taney. The only diff is there are rarely top breaks. When you run into them, follow the catch. You can catch 40 to 60 if you keep up. They move fast! "May success follow your every cast." - Trav P. Johnson
shaker Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 LOL!!! This is the best info that I have ever seen on a website period..... I cannot begin to express how much I appreciate all the info that you guys put out, I for one sincerely thank all of you!
Martin Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 Slipknot, you would have to ask me a question (hook size) that I can't answer for sure. I'm not near any of my tackle (wah) but I'd say the replacement hooks are #4 or possibly even #2's. The main thing is that they should be bigger then the hook that came on the 1/4 oz. roostertail. I think you can still get them at WallyWorld. The ones I grabbed last time were made by Arkie. Better grab some split rings too. You'll see why when you start the hook replacement. Good Luck !
