Becks did the same think, and it was water in the armature of his trolling motor, causing it to send all the adverse electric into the system. Have George check it out at Marine Repair Center in Springfield. It will be fixed and fixed right, no bandades, he is the best. My units have no rubber backing and they are perfect and state of the art, after his work. Good Luck Had a friend have the same issue. exactly.
