Pour Dennis Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 I live in Shell Knob and need to have my optimax 225 serviced. Does anyone know of a reputable certified mechanic in the local area?
Fishrman Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 Can Dan Langley not service a motor? I know that Bill Long in Monett could service it.
Fishrman Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 Should be on Y highway before you get to the Campbell Point turn off, his shop is on the right and fenced in.
Dutch Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 Which year motor is it and what kind of service does it need? I know a few guys who work moonlighting and are cheaper than dealerships.
Pour Dennis Posted June 20, 2008 Author Posted June 20, 2008 I have talked to Dan and he said he is not certified to work on Opti's. I want to take it to a shop that has the computer for the motor and techs that are certified to work on it.
Dutch Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 Sportboats USA in Ozark Ulrich Marine in Kimberling City Just to name 2. Is this warranty work or do you want a cert. tech below dealership prices?
crappiefisherman Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 you know tracker marine has a shop and a trained tech at bass pro on the landing. It wouldnt hurt to give them a buzz. The optimax isnt that bad if you have the right computer equipment and im sure they have it. [ [
Members Mart Posted June 22, 2008 Members Posted June 22, 2008 I've had Tracker Marine in Branson work on my 150 Optimax. The mechanic they sent (think his name is Keith) was very easy to talk to and seemed to know his stuff. You have to have the computer program to troubleshoot this engine. I would not let anyone touch it unless they have that tool.
champ187xr6 Posted June 22, 2008 Posted June 22, 2008 Poor Dennis this kid works for ulrich over in Branson West. Not sure about the guys down at Brutons on west of Carr Lane. By the way thanks for the reports in the Rattler. http://bbcboards.zeroforum.com/zerouser?cm...le&id=19246
