Members bigfish Posted June 22, 2008 Members Posted June 22, 2008 have got to find a couple of trees or brush piles that are worth a crap as most i have found so far are not holding fish and if so not many going to have to run a little further it looks as i found 1 in the back of big branch and adams branch had 2 in the back of it not holding too many fish we heard that the bridge is a good place to fish but did not try it yet going to go down a few times this week and next to fish the area really good and see what we find
Dutch Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 When you leave the Cedar Ridge cove heading toward the Campers' ramp the left hand bank has at least 50 brush pile along it. Use your depth finder and locate them. There are also dozens of them in the big old ramp cove as well as to the east of Adams branch.
Whodat Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 I would go buy, hell cut 2 cedars down and tie a rope to them. Get to the spot you like and launch thr trees overboard. Wait 30 mins or 3-4 beers then start fishin. If you don't catch anything, reel the cedars in and go to a different spot and repeat, wait 30 mins or 3-4 beers. After 4 or 5 spots, you won't give a darn if you catch anything or not!!!!
Stockton Lake Guide Service Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 There is a big brush pile in the middle of the cove that the boat ramp is in. As you are on the water and facing the ramp it will be about the middle and a little to the right of the ramp, guessing around 20-30 yards. Was fishing it last week and it had fish on it. If you have trouble finding it give me a call and if I am around that area I will meet you and show you a few brush piles. Hope this helps a little. Good Luck!! bigredbirdfan Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 Bigfish: I found a map I think at the Mo Dept Conservation that shows all brush piles on the lake. Look it up.
Stockton Lake Guide Service Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 Well I have tried to send you 2 emails but they are not showing up that they were sent. I can take you out to look for brush piles. I have the new humminbird side imager on my boat, so finding brush piles is pretty easy. Shows up 100 yards off either side of boat. If you got the emails then I am sure you are tired of reading this same stuff, LOL. I am booked wed and thur (as long as the storms hold off) but have an opening friday anytime. My cell is 417-234-8988. Thanks.
