Guest flyfishBDS
Gday, interesting task for the fly fishers. Ive done a little under rock sampling ove the past few months. Can't find any live scuds just dead shells. Lots of sowbuigs instead Now I want to enlist a few more "lookers" to try and get some idea of what is going on in the tailwater. Spend 5 mins out of your fishing day digging under rocks, anywhere on Beaver. Let me know the results. If your a newcomer to these invertebrates sowbugs look like a terrestrial slater (rolypoly) scuds arwe a freshwater shrimp. Also interested to know colors and sizes of scud. If we get a few surveys in I'll have more info to question AGFC. Also anyone know why scuds would vanish while sowbugs flourish? water quality? etc Cheers Steve
