Awesome Pic. Have seen quite a few around KS this year as well, but not any close enough to get a nice pic like this one.

Nice Phil, were you using a long lens or just zoom to capture that? How far away were you?

That is a beautiful picture! It's amazing how the eagle population has really taken off in the Branson/Tri-Lakes area, and really in the entire Ozarks. I have some realtives that have a home off of the Long Creek branch on Table Rock, and we see several when visiting them. It hasn't been that many years ago and a photo like this would have been almost impossible to have captured!

We saw a couple in trees on our way out 86 toward RR the other day...Too far from the roadway for a picture though...Dano

That's a great shot! Where was it taken at exactly ?

I have taken many pictures of eagles.. but none that you can see detail that close. Look at those feet - look at the angle / pose she struck...

'tis breathtaking - Brian

This pic was sent to me by Rolan Duffield. I assume he took it.

Took this picture in October, 2005 near the Cooper Creek area.

I used a 10X zoom lens and I was at least 50 yards from the tree. I assume the Bald Eagle has a nest close by.

Lots of chances for good wildlife pictures in the Taneycomo area. Lets see yours.
