Stuck a bunch today on the river east of Fayetteville.

Was a fish a cast for a goodly while then slowed a little after losing both McLellan's JIggies. Switched toa couple of battered Dames (my own white bass/striper streamer) which i found in a trout streamer box _ yeh they catch salmonids too. Ok I wasn't prepared, last minute decision after an appointment in Fayetteville. Just happened to have a 10' 6wt and sinking line in the car

Lots of fish splashing on the top of the water, most were males fat and health if not huge.

Did do a 15' LDR on a smallish hybrid (I think) or a big white.

The river is seriously low, which makes it interesting finding holding water.

I will say that they weren't holding in the deepest pool in the stretch, but up under the shoal.

Pity Im going to texas this weekend should be fun.

Was tryinga new spot downstream (on Todd's advice _ from McLellan's) failed to entice him or Mike to play hooky so had to resort to ringing them up reperatedly to tell them how good it was.

A few more weeks of this fun will be great and then, wait for the Beaver whites/hybrids at the top end to start firing on top.

I introduced mike to that last year which was pretty cool to return something to one of the two guys who very generously showed this itinerant aussie fly fishing arkansas style.

Only too glad to introduce others to whites on either the Upper White or Beaver when it gets active.

Cheers

Steve

Where exactly were you? Not being from there I'm alittle confused. Wish I could run over but too many irons in the fire here.

Upstream from junction of White and War Eagle. Lots of water up there and very wader friendly since its so low.

This is all east of fayetteville.

Go out 412 and put a boat in and go upstream.

or got out to Goshen to Twin Bridges, and work downstream.

Mouth of Richland Creek is usually a great holding spot. but water level may mess that up.

Look for moving water, and fish where it smnooths out, deepens.
