Trav Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 Relatively speaking, It all depends on what your needs will be. Boats, guides, food, ect.?? "May success follow your every cast." - Trav P. Johnson
davekeim Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 Upper end Lilley's. But I prefer the Lake Shore Drive area. At night you can at least fish off a dock. The water runs too fast at the upper end. Signed, Cardiac Abdito! Another Beautiful Day In The Ozarks
Members vince Posted June 26, 2008 Members Posted June 26, 2008 what in every ones opinion the best resort on the upper end of lake taynecomo as far as fishing goes I'd say Lilley's Landing, just the kind friendly service they give is a good reason, but add to that the great tackle store, marina, clean rooms, great views, close to town but out of traffic is more reason to say their the best. Their knowledge of the fishing is tops, Phil works at knowing the lake and the fishing, he wants his guest to catch fish and be happy. The guides are top of the line, our own Bill Babler is one of Phils finest, he takes pride in putting people on fish and teaching them how to catch them.
97procraft Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 Lilley's is the best, but it does fill up so you need to book early. I have also stayed at Trout Hollow. It is not as nice as Lilley's, but when I am down there I don't spend much time in the room any way.
Jeremy Hunt Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 Lilley's Landing is the best place on Taney by far. Don't forget about the playground for the little ones. That really comes in handy if you're bringing the family. Accept the drift.....<>>><flysandguides.comVisit my blog
WebFreeman Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 We stayed there for 4 days in May and barely left the resort. Nice pool, playground, dock, shop, boats, staff, rooms. Dock fishing is a little tough w/ all the water, though. “Many go fishing all their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after.” — Henry David Thoreau Visit my web site @ webfreeman.com for information on freelance web design.
rainbow Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 We have stayed at Lilley's for years. Nothing else on the lake is as good in my book.
Members fishin'chemteacher Posted June 26, 2008 Members Posted June 26, 2008 Lilley's hands down. Have stayed there and rent a boat slip nearly every year for several years. Great people to work with. They will help you catch fish and are just good people. They have everything you will need. Will have my boat there next week. Hope fishing is good.
