I am coming to the Rock Aug 1-7 and am staying with family/kids off the lake. I was wondering if anyone knew of a good place to rent a covered slip w/ elec. for the week. I will be staying near the Dam and will most likely fish from the Dam on up towards Kimberling City. I have an 18' bass boat, so I guess I need atleast a 10' x 20' slip. I'll also need trailer parking and a place to park my truck early in the morning. I've been reading Babler on here enough to know I need to be on the water by 5am. The State Park Marina only has uncovered slips for rent and Indian Point Marina doesn't have trailer parking. Figured this would be the best place to find more options.

Anyone suggestions or knowledge would be much appreciated.

I would like to Thank Babler, Capt. Don, Lilley--too many to list, on this site. I drive my wife crazy every night by checking the site for the fishing reports. A big Thank You to all who contribute. Hopefully I'll catch a few and post my results and pics. Thanks. Jason.

Jason, best bet would be to trailer your boat over to state park ramp everyday, it is right by the DAM... Cost you 4 dollars per day or you can get a season pass for 30.00... Better than driving all over the place to get to your boat at some Marina...

Good Luck and Have some fun down here

Thanks Capt. Don, I had thought of doing the same but seeing how I would be by myself most of the mornings I thought a 10-20 min. ride to a rental slip would be more convenient. Plus where I am staying there really is no room to keep my boat anywhere. Thanks. Jason.

Jason it is a little bit of a boat ride to the dam but Long Creek marina has covered slips and trailer parking I believe. I think they charge $15 a night.

Jasond, if you do decide to rent a slip, be forewarned. Do not leave a thing in that boat, locked or unlocked, it dosent' really matter. If you want your stuff, take it back to your lodging place and put it in your room every night.

This is a no kidding deal, I don't care how much stuff you have, or what anyone tells you. Holiday weekends are the time you can lose your whole outfit in a heartbeat on Table Rock Lake.

I would rather step on a nail as to leave my boat and gear anyplace but behind my rig, parked in my grage.

Marina and Resorts with boat docks and slips for rent are the first place these thiefs look. Broken fiberglass and missing gear are just the nicer parts of leaving your stuff on this lake.

Capt. Don is shooting it straight, don't leave that rig.

Good Luck.
