Congratulations Michael! No mean feat!

FWIW in the early '80s I discovered that there had been no entries in the flyrod division of the IGFA record book for White Bass in the 1 & 2 Kg. tippet classes. Since I'd been catching some very credible 'Sandies' in the Brazos River below 'Possum Kingdom Dam SW of Ft. Worth I set out to correct the oversight. Naturally by the time I got back to the river the spawning run was tapering off and the big fish I'd been enjoying were not to be found. So I just entered a couple of fish that (barely!) met the minimum requirements. A LOT of hoops to jump thru no matter how embarrassing the size of the fish! But it all culminated in getting a couple of frameable citations and the World Record Holder hat pins. (Which was the main goal anyway!) I've subsequently lost one of the pins and studiously avoided admitting the size of the fish concerned when questioned. Which I'm obviously still doing. :D Tom
