I'll be taking a two day trip from Nebo back to Gasconade Hills for fishing?? This will be my first trip on this river and was curious if 25 miles is too long... Is this current of this river similar to the Big Piney?

Also, from reading the board it seems crankbaits aren't very popular... is ths the case or just not the lure of choice for you all..

I fished it several times last year. Crankbaits didn't seem to work here as well as they do on our other streams. Did catch a lot of fish on plastics on spinning tackle and large streamers on the fly rod. On one trip we did very well on buzz baits early and late in the day.
