captmac Posted August 3, 2008 Posted August 3, 2008 Sorry the old brain is still mush from the heat, Tournament was shortened by an hour and the limits were reduced to four fish, my partner and I struggled to get the 9.6 that we did I saw a lot of sacks with one or two fish. Not sure what the final out come was cause we headed home right after the weigh in. All our fish came from shallow water rock banks, caught on a jig we caught 7 fish all together without a single bite till noon.Got to meet Troy at the weigh in and shake hands, no time for much else as he was working and I was wore out. If I had to guess I would say about 16 to 18 to win it and all other places decided by ounces To have a true friend is wonderful, to have a true friend who fishes with you....... priceless
Troy Gregg Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 Captmac, Firstly It was nice to put a face with some of the people who frequent this site. Secondly, it took 17.74 lbs for the team series. Today, however I didn't stick around for the final numbers. I couldn't do anything right today, I had one 14" fish in the livewell, lost two good fish, and missed I don't know how many more. I got a hook stuck in my hand early and the rest of the day went about the same. I am sure it took close to 7 lbs on the AM side with two fish. The pro side I saw had a couple solid 14lb stringers. Gone Fishing Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 Only managed around 9 1/2 pounds for the team also. Did not even stick around for the checks. Was wondering if they said when and where the classic was going to held.
