I have never used one of these but I bought one to try on bass and walleye. The lure has a weighted body and blade with a hole in it where you attach a clip. The mfg says to use a clip to attach the lure. Have any of you used this lure and if so can you provide some advice? Thanks.

I have several of that type of bait. I use them in the fall to walk down points. They are also very good baits when bass - white or black - are chopping shad near the surface. You can throw them a mile, retrieve them to the area where the fish are active and then kill them. Most of the hits come on the drop.

Years ago. We were fishing for crappie on Smithville lake, I believe there were 5 of us in the boat. Most were using jigs tipped with minnows. My cousin was verticaly fishing a cicada. I took one look at the cicada and said no way. Well, He out fished the rest of us combinded, 2 to 1 with that thing. Made a believer out of me.

This blade bait is widely used on Table Rock. Applications favor cool water vertical jigging, but it was a absolute killer when the white bass were hanging at the new overflow in front of Chateau on the Lake the last three years. Not this year, as they never showed with the high water.

It has been part of most guides arsonnal along with the spoon, and grub for many years, along with the Ice Minnow.

Bob Tindle featured a complete section in Bass Master Mag. about 10 years ago on these blade baits.

How to: When and Where to use them. You can probably check their archives.

Hope this helps.
