Members lizard Posted August 20, 2008 Members Posted August 20, 2008 Rumor has it that the bank closed up on the new owner that bought springrise from Quint. Anyone tried to go fishing there recently?
flyfishmaster Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 Well that stinks. I stopped by there last fall on my way back from a Current River trip just to take a look at the place. They let us fish 2 hours for free. That was fun. It looked like they had a lot going on at one time and spending a lot, I mean a lot of money. This is very sad to hear. I hope thye are able to rebound from this if it is true. later, FFM Woo Hoo Fish On!!
Gavin Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 The bank has moved to forclose. It was in the St. Louis Business Journal a couple weeks ago.
flyfishmaster Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 gavin, I did a search on the STLBJ web site but could find the article. what was it under? Later, FFM Woo Hoo Fish On!!
Gavin Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 It was in the new lawsuits filed section. No article.
Members lizard Posted August 21, 2008 Author Members Posted August 21, 2008 I was told that Marty and Travis are still working there. The bank is going to try to finish the construction the the new guy started. That seems to me to be a major undertaking. He started alot of building and remodeling but never came close to finishing anything. I cant see it being a profitable business ever again, just to much pay for the play.

The westover trout hatchery will go up for sale on the /crawford county courthouse steps in /steelville on friday Sept. 5. Rumors has Adolf Busch, MDC, DNR, Bass Pro, and Cabelas interested. Anyone else know anyone willing to drop 3 million for it?
Members BKB Posted August 31, 2008 Members Posted August 31, 2008 I didn't win the powerball jackpot, so count me out!
Trout Stalker Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 Rumors has Adolf Busch, MDC, DNR, Bass Pro, and Cabelas Wonder who would be best for the place?
Brian Sloss Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 I'm hoping the MDC gets it between that bunch, but I can't imagine they would be able to outbid the others. It would be nice to have more public trout water. www.elevenpointflyfishing.com www.elevenpointcottages.com (417)270-2497
