I'm hoping the MDC gets it between that bunch, but I can't imagine they would be able to outbid the others. It would be nice to have more public trout water.

I agree, that would be our best hope. Not enough time for a fund raiser to assist the MDC.

I dont think mdc or dnr will open it to public fishing. I talked to an agent back when Quint own it and he told me they wanted it just to use it for the haterary. they also wern't going to pay the 7 miil Quint wanted. I was told that this new, old owner payed over 3 mil. and lord knows how much more he put in it after he started working the place. Honestly I liked it best when jim was running it back in the days of "the dude ranch". It might have been a little run down but $5 bucks and you were allowed 5 fish,( in the river)

The bank that holds the note now owns westover or spring rise or the old fisherman's dude ranch. I'm sure it is still on the market and that somone or a big corporation will eventually get it.

Premier Bank put it on the block for $6M on Friday (the amount of the outstanding loan)...There were no bids.

Since nobody bought it at the bankruptcy auction, the bank is the owner and they can market it any way they want. I'm sure it will sell to someone for a lot less than the $6M the bank loaned on the place. Cheers.

Wow, $6M??? Looks like Premier Bank is gonna own a trout stream for awhile. Seems like Quint had a heckofa time selling it around $3M ... didn't it take 5 years or so?
