Members mofisher Posted August 26, 2008 Members Posted August 26, 2008 My Mariner 175 was in need of more than I wanted (or knew how to) to tackle so I started calling around. A friend told me about a guy he had used and been very happy with so I gave him a call. I got my boat back and took it to the lake today and WOW! It ran better than it has in years! I wanted to test it out and make sure it ran well before I posted his name and number. His name is Mike Binder at 417-234-8377. Mike was fast and kept me informed of the happenings with the boat. He is also a nice guy. He is located between Springfield and Willard. Hope this helps. I know how frustrating it is trying to find a good mechanic at a reasonable price.

Yup its true Mike is a great mechanic. My buddy has an 05 champ that didnt run right since he bought. He had taken it to ulrich three times and they swore there was nothing wrong with the motor. When they went out of business he took it to Mike turns out it had a fouled plug wich caused cylinder failure. Now his champ is runnin in the mid seventys were it should be. Also took my 88 ranger in there had it back in a couple of days. Very fair and trusting guy. I also recomend him 100 percent
Dutch Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 So what is his hourly wage? BTW: Ulrich didn't go out of business. He just moved it down by where he lives, Kimberling City, and got a pot of money for his land outside Republic.
