Anybody notice the new Hippo Avatar? Caught him with the camera on the River Walk at the STL Zoo. It was hot but fun. We spent about 6 hours there Sat. and did not make it to everything. They have a special Dinosaur Exhibit this summer. You had to pay to go thru and at the end they had a short 3D ride that was fun. I have always loved the zoo, best free thing going. You can spend alot of time there and see some neat things. I usually catch a few good shots with the camera while I am there also. This is the time of year to go, crowds are thinning out and its getting cooler. The Penguin exhibit is really great, you can get right up next to them.

All were taken with a Canon A560. I am having trouble getting all settings right and end up with alot of grainy shots. Some turned out pretty fair even thru glass.

I saw it.

Ohhhhh....it's a hip-MO-pot-a-mus.

That clears it up.

I told the wife that you'd posted a new picture on the site...

and that you didn't look so good.

(Ooooo...payback's gonna hurt!)

By the way.....great shots!!

Thanks, I like to have some fun with cameras, especially since the digital age. It is just a hobby, but I end up with some nice wallpapers. When I came back from Alaska last year, I dumped all of my pics on my buddies computer because he did not take a camera. All 800 of them, unedited. You can alway pick thru and find a few keepers.

The old ostrich was from last years trip.

I am probably gonna have to hide out for a while, look at what my Sarah Palin post has racked up since last Friday. Phil has probably exceeded his bandwidth for the month.
