Hard to see from here (AK) exactly what's going on but from the looks of Table Rock and it's rise that Taneycomo will be on the move too for quite some time. All those who were looking forward to days of no generation can tuck that dream away for another month- sorry.

As long as the water is moving, it will keep the lake free of debry and mud. Fishing should be good, drifting in boats like it's been all summer. But don't look for any down water. I guess it's possible but not probable.

They are running 4 units right now, probably will until things are under control whenever that may be. When ever it goes down there should be some healthy fish.

I'm headed down there today with my boat, and docking it at lilleys. Any idea what to try out of the boat up in the trophy area, or other areas that might work?

Egg patterns and San Juan worms are always good bets. If you have any midge patterns those will work. Try some jigs in various colors. If you are not hooking fish quick, make sure you are deep enough.

I have no idea how Table Rock is fairing but the streams coming into it are all peaking right now. But that doesnt mean its not filling up more. Flat Creek was HUGE this morning. 19,000 CFS...thats a lot. James river only around 1500. Not much really compared to 40,000 last time it flooded. USGS website

Thanks for the info guys, this is my first time out in the boat this year on taney. Any one know if I will be able to launch a boat by myself at Lilleys/cooper, or will someone from lilleys be able to help out? I rented a slip for the weekend at lilleys, but i'll be down today and tomarrow by myself and want to get the boat afloat for some fishing.

Hi Streamer

You did not indicate if you wanted to fish with your flyrod or Spinning. With high water flow it is difficult to get the fly down with a flyrod deep enough, fish will typically be close to the bottom. At moderate levels of generation, the micro jigs that Phil sells are very effective with a flyrod, fished 6 or 8 feet under a strike indicator.

With high generation, a 1/8 oz jig can be bounced off the bottom as you are drifting, this is my favorite way to fish with 4 units of generation. There are plenty of articles in this forum that you can read that will give you some ideas.

Ask the people at Phils shop, they will typically have some recomendations and are great people.

Well they do have 4 running now.... but don't know how much or how fast they'll take Table Rock down. Only had a couple going this morning till 9. Fish were biting LIKE CRAZY today.... overcast and cloudy.. great fishing day.

Drifts are fast, but watch for less water in the mornings, and get out there early.

Turkey Creek mudline is already clearing some, would expect by Saturday it'll be normal.

Yes, you should be able to launch at Cooper by yourself.

Just be careful & tie the boat off good at the small dock.
