wacky worm Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 the river has crested at hog heaven and is on the fall the fishing will not be good for a while on the elk (stained and flooded) we floated the indian last night we were dreaming of big waves until we got there and the creek had come up a little but it was clear as a bell :huh: i wish i would have brought my fishing rod instead of my whitewater skirt any ways the waves were still fun we got to the elk and it was rolling i could touch the bottom of low water bridge with my hand as i went under it floated to two sons and had a blast dreaming of going to the mulberry keep floating russ Russ Stovall OAF FISHING CONTIBUTOR www.hogheavencanoe.com

Even though it was a stready rain, it still only managed around a couple of inches around Neosho and Goodman. I thought it was going to be rolling too until I looked at the CFS rate. I wanted to do the Mulberry tomorrow, but now it doesn't seem to be happening. ): "you can always beat the keeper, but you can never beat the post" There are only three things in life that are certain : death, taxes, and the wind blowing at Capps Creek!

But like you said, it was so slow and steady and the ground was so dry that the majority of it soaked in and filled ponds.
