Troy Gregg
Well guys, I have been fishing in the evening and not doing to bad on small crankbaits. Took Dad out today and we put a hammering on the fish... 14 total and none under 14". We didn't catch anything terribly large either ; just good quality, fat, hard fighting trout. I know some of the guys fly fishing above outlet one and in outlet one were wondering what we were doing...( if anyone of you were there, here is the story) I got my secret weapon snagged about 12 feet high in a tree and broke it off, and it was the last one. My Dad had the brilliant idea of tying a buoy to a rope and launching it over the tree limb. This was pretty funny to watch from the drivers seat. Then we decided that wasn't going to reach, so we found a different rope and tied a 10 oz. lead weight to it. We got the lure back, with no injuries. The weight came real close to hitting each of us at different times. I know it had to look pretty goofy from the other side of the lake. Now I don't know the name of the area but just below the third island as you move down the lake is a pretty good spot, caught a fish on every cast for about 10 minutes. The highlight of the day was a 14" crappie that came off the first island just across from outlet 1, I wasn't expecting to see that thing up that far. but anyways, the fishing is good. Now as long as the schedule keeps up and I can keep getting my boat up there, I'll be happy. Troy Gregg
bigredbirdfan
Fished today with the wife. I had a 22 inch rainbow inhale my suspending rogue by the boat ramp at the hatchery. My drag needs a rest.

I would think a trip to the trout park would be a better investment of time.
