bclift65706 Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 I was looking forward to tomarrow night giging a few fish and a fish fry on the river bank but all the water reports showing its going to be awhile before this is going to happen.
Seth Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 I know the feeling. Dad and I worked on the gigging lights for my boat this weekend and got them all ready to go in anticipation, but now everything is flash flooding and looking like chocolate milk. All well.....I can focus on trying to stick me a deer with the Mathews for a while now.

polock Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 What all rivers are good gigging around here. We go on current river above doniphan with a bunch of luck. Opening night we got 50 fish, between 8 guys, had a huge fry the next day. Not looking for anything like that over here, I hate cleaning that many. I have a 16x48 boat with a 40hp jet on it. I live in sparta, will travel 45min to an hour if the gigging is good.

Hey, nice to see ya! As I stepped up to my new favorite smallmouth hole and cast a minnow in I happened to notice a good hundred suckers staged up in the slackwater.. And I thought of you! When the water gets back down wanna come hit that spot and show me how to gig? cricket.c21.com
cwc87 Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 Don't get me wrong I love to gig and eat suckers on the gravel bar but, all this rain and murky water is saving lots and lots of bass from being gigged. I just it keeps up with keeping the water off color all season.
