Went last Sat. started around 6:45 and headed up. Fished pretty fast to get to the small mouth and on the way just after the point by the end of the park on the bluff side we got in to the bass and huge crappie, (pics coming soon) on a SB bite. Thought was a fluke and we caught around 8 real good bass from 12" dinks to solid 3 lb'rs. finally made it just past riverside inn and nailed a 17" smallie on one of my 3/16 jigs. Good start could not believe all the laydowns from this year of high water. I am so glad we had all this rain this year."great for the fish, all looked healthy and fat" I can't remember how nice the Finley looked like this since I was a little kid? Any way lost track of num of LM, some KY and few but nice SM and tons of gogle eyes. It was a good 5 hrs of fishn. Can't wait to fish Copelind to Linden next weekend. Glad got to go fish before this Sun. Man that river came up fast. Recap of baits early SB, then worm and jig with CB mixed in was the ticket for this trip. Good luck and Good fishing! :D
