Brian K. Shaffer
I cannot wait to see the news on this storm, and to see what might have occured at Taney up by the dam. I am downtown at around 4:30.. and after a few blinks of the lights.. I close out windows and turn off the computer.. no less than 2 minutes later the power goes out - FOR 3 and half hours! I have heard rumors of some heavy damage to a few structures; The White House Theatre, a part of Silver Dollar City, some other spots in Kimberling had damage.. but the news tonight will show it all. WOW - some reports by my mom of marble sized hail.. and 2 miles north of Branson a policeman reported of golf ball sized hail literally filling or covering the streets. *<( may parents are still out of power at 9:30pm and they are accross from K-Mart )>* what a storm - Brian Just once I wish a trout would wink at me! ozarkflyfisher@gmail.com I'm the guy wearing the same Simms longbilled hat for 10 years now. Members diamond dave
Hey Brian, I live in Branson, just off of Bird Road. Our subdivision got hit pretty hard. All the siding on the east side of my house has 1000's of holes in it from the marble size hail which was 3 inches deep when I got home. My neighbor had his garage door concave in from winds and two homes down both houses had their front doors blown off with heavy damage on inside. Our place looks terrible now and I'm sure it will look like that for a long time, till the insurance companies can pay up.

jOrOb
We were having lunch at Olive Garden about 430. It got pretty nasty for a few minutes. Hard winds, rain, and hail. But when we left the sun was shining. Of course it took forever to get out of town because all of the traffic lights were out. jOrOb jOrOb "The Lord has blessed us all today... Danoinark
Sandy said the main problem was the traffic because power was out. It took her well over an hour to get from the strip to home in Harrison..Dano Glass Has Class "from the laid back lane in the Arkansas Ozarks"
Brian K. Shaffer
Dano - I'm sure you know the BFD stands wait behind the complex of Wal-Mart whenever bad weather lurks. I have seen the trucks sitting up there watching like hawks to see anything out of the ordinary. I sat there one time with them.. but the rain got too hard for me to wait it out with no cover.. so I split to the covered bank parking lot. Pea sized hail.. its not recommended for my truck! whew - Brian Just once I wish a trout would wink at me! ozarkflyfisher@gmail.com I'm the guy wearing the same Simms longbilled hat for 10 years now. Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted March 12, 2006 Root Admin Share Posted March 12, 2006 Getting alittle excited Brian? Should have grown up in Kansas- this is very common out there. Rain gage count- 4 inches of rain so far since it started a few days ago. 2 last night. We got small hail off and on most of the night. Lots of lightning. Another funnel developed east of here about 10 pm but never developed. Haven't we been praying for rain? You should be more specific in your prayers! "Rain but no hail and wind."
