bigredbirdfan Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 Hey Don: I'm going also and like you shelled out $820 for 4 tickets. Yet to see where they are located in the Arena because I pick them up at will call after 6 p.m. tomorrow. Since we both hit Bonnamassa and now the Eagles what should we go see next? I am down to about 20 cds and I will have my entire cd collection on my ipod. So far 9 days of of non stop play for a total of 11 gig. I don't know how much time I have spent on this, but after many a cd lost of the years I wish I had done it earlier. Now I need a big external drive to back everything up. Anyway done rambling maybe will see ya there. My uncle's partner is their tour manager and he paid the same and said the show is worth every penny. We'll see.
bigredbirdfan Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 Worth every single penny. These guys played from 8:15 to 11:15 with a 20 min intermission. Played a majority of their hits. If they were playing St. Louis or Kansas City this weekend I would make it happen again. I have seen Eric Clapton 4 times and this show was smokin hot. The new arena was very nice and still very green you could smell curing concrete and there was a haze in the air and I wiped my hand on the floor and it was like it wasn't swept and the rodies were trying to keep this dust off the stage. I guess it leaves open the question: Is this the best rock and roll band ever????
jdmidwest Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 I had to fight off an Bald Eagle last weekend going for a crippled mallard last weekend. "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson
Members ArcheyFisher Posted March 8, 2009 Members Posted March 8, 2009 Saw the eagles for the first time when I was in 8th grade, my parents took me to see them at War Memorial in Little Rock. Was amazing, and I will never forget them coming back and playing a 6 song encore. I'm living in Omaha now, and have connections at the arena here. Going to see Clapton this year, also Elton John and Billy Joel. Little Feat played here last spring, and The Derrick Trucks Band was here 2 weeks ago (he is the little brother to Duane Allman I believe), and the allman brothers last summer. Quite the music here in Omaha. If anyone likes bluegrass check out yonder mountain string band. From Colorado, pretty great.
