That looked like that was fun, those are some nice Hybirds. I have fished the lake alot. Miola was one of those lake that I just stumbled on to. My wife and I used to live in Paola over buy the Price Chopper. Infact I wished that we still owned the house so I could buy a permit to fish the lake. I think that the only thing that I benfitted the most with living there was that I bought my resident lifetime permit for hunting and fishing. I do not miss the big supper cells that would come across the great state of Kansas. I do not know, but if you know Kenny and Marylyn New tell them that Michael and Kristina Kyle said Hi.

Oh its on buddy, I'll bet the pink slip to my 10ft plastic bass boat that we outfish your butt. shoot i'll bet I'll even kick your butt in some texas hold'em also. yeah it was fun, those little guys put up a fight. That is the first time I had fished there so its all good. We actually thought you needed a special permit too, but it turns out the state bought it, so no permits needed, fishing license only. I dont know of kenny and marlyn, but I'll bet whatnext's Mom knows them.

Back in the day that the city of Paola owned the lake it cost 150 bucks a year to put my bass boat on the lake. I'm glad to know that you do not have to have a special permit anymore.

The state has just recently taken over it was just a taped up note saying so. We were expecting to have to buy permits to fish but got lucky.

those fish are actually hybrid stripers don't get quite as big as stripers but are a boatload of fun to catch

yeah that was my bad, i was thinking striper, but they are hard to tell apart from wipers, but as you said still a dman good fighting fish.
