getfished Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 We went out of Aunt's Creek this AM. Mrs. techo doesn't like to make fishing into work so we slept in today. We hit the lake around 8. We tried around Aunt's Creek for about a half hour and zippo! I knew they were on the points then, so we went to some of my top secret points, but for some reason there were quite a few fishermen out. They all seemed to know my top secret points. We tried some other points and zippo again. I went to a creek cove and hit the second cove inside of that. Walla! We ended up with 27 fish for the day. Nothing of size to brag about again. Biggest was 2 pounds 9 ounces. We had four keepers (barely) and a ton of feisty Kentuckys. Mrs. techo said it was her best day ever. She out-fished me with an Eakins jig while I was trying a Texas rigged worm. I switched to the jig and caught up. The jig bite slowed so I switched to chartreuse spinner and caught four or five on it. The Mrs tried a black spinner, but they didn't like it at all. Fishing slowed back down and we were off the lake by 2 PM. Good Job! Looks like you had to add some sleeves, Ha! GETFISHED !!! http://www.tacklespecialty.com/
