jdavis Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 A good bite at day break landed three 15+" fish. By 7:30 the fishing got tough. The water is low and clear. The sky was even clearer.
duckydoty Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 Nice fish! Do you arrange your own pickup and drop off or is there a shuttle service there? duckydoty A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! Visit my website at.. Ozark Trout Runners
RSBreth Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 I fished down that way this weekend, nothing much to report. The water is super clear, and I haven't done as well on topwaters this whole year. I have been doing O.K. on my hair or foam bugs (fly) cast right beside a piece of cover a letting it sit for a minute or so. That's some slow fishing.
jdavis Posted October 9, 2008 Author Posted October 9, 2008 I take care of my own transportation. Unless you are going solo, It allows for much greater flexibility when it comes to access points and float times. Hootentown Canoe Rental or James River Outfitters can fix you up with shuttle service if you need it. I doubt either of them would have had you on the water in time to catch the two fish in the pictures though.
