I searched Rush Limbaugh's site to see if he has addressed this and it appears he has not. I find that interesting. So why hasn't the conservative media or radio talking heads picked this up? Rush thinks that Dems put this stuff out there so they (conservative media) are drawn in and made to look bad in the end.

But this is a lawsuit brought by a Dem... is it just a joke? Or is it going to hit the fan a week before the election?

Interesting.

This has been out for a while, the story does not seem to have any traction as far as the media is concerned. He has a registration of birth at a hopsital in Hawai, but not a certificate.

One story is that the airlines would not permit his pregnant mom from leaving Kenya at her advanced state.

Perhaps Dan Rather will persue this with the same vigor the he pursued Bush and his Guard service.

Do you think?

Don't hold your breath on this one.

I just think if this was a talking point then the Republican National Committee would be all over it. I don't believe it would fly or you would be hearing more about it. Besides you all heard Mr. McCain say that his opponent was a decent American.

I hate politics and I am starting to distance myself from all the rhetoric from both sides. Its gotten out of hand.

Dano I could not agree more, I would much rather talk and think about fishing. This whole deal make me very sad.

The proplem is that the stakes are so much higher now than they have ever been. There is talk from both parties about the good old US Gov. taking over our economy, action on bailouts and buying banks.

The road to a socialistic society has been greased by this financial crisis and we have to think about that and how to stem the tide.

I know which side will push us down that road faster.

I found this at the time of the Bush Gore election in 2000 and thought it true then.

How about now?

The Fall of the Republic.

At about the time our original 13 states adopted their new constitution in

1787, a Scottish history professor by the name of Professor Alexander

Tyler had this to say about "The Fall of the Athenian Republic" over 2,000 years

previous to that date.

..................................................

The Fall of the Athenian Republic.

"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only

exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse

(generous gifts) from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority

always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury,

with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy,

(which is) always followed by a dictatorship." "The average age of the world's

greatest civilizations has been two hundred years. These nations have

progressed through this sequence:

From bondage to spiritual faith; from spiritual

faith to great courage; from courage to liberty; from liberty to abundance, from

abundance to complacency; from complacency to apathy, from apathy to

dependence, from dependence back into bondage."
