Went to Taney to get a little fishing in before the Mizzou-Texas game.

(Should have stayed fishing)

Some "event" was going on at Lookout Island as drift boats seemed to be shuttling

a group of women to that spot to fish. Sure was a bunch of them. And they were LOUD!!!

Anyway, late in the afternoon, several of the boats headed downstream without passengers.

Maybe the squid got a few of them. (heh-heh)

Anyway, we stayed well below that circus.

Mostly drifted below Lookout to a good distance above Fall Creek.

Did well throwing 1/8 oz olive jigs and casting 1/4 oz cleos.

Here is a 17 1/2 inch fish my friend Keith from Columbia caught.

Didn't notice any of the problems others have spoken of.

Water was very cloudy which might have actually helped.

But water temps were in low 60's....bad!

Bite was consistent for us.

Jigs......A little of "all of the above".

Did best out from bluff bank in deepest water just before it slopes up.

Cleos....as tight to bluff bank as we could throw them.

Hey Rich

That is really good news, thanks for the report.

How fast was the water, how many units were running, do you know?

It is always a thrill when Mr Lilley asks you about how and where to catch trout.
