I dont use one on a motor boat, but I run one off the back of my canoe..If it hangs, its a matter of back paddling or cutting the rope..Adjust the length of rope to control the speed of your drift, and keep a knife handy just in case. Cheers.

I wondered about some with drag chains.

Since the chain touches the rocky stream bed, doesn't it do damage?

Also in places like Taney, the chain appears like it would do some type of "chummin", just like "schufflin". So would the the trout be feeding in the path just created by the chain?

Thanks,

FFM

The chains are destructive to the bottom, and potentially dangerous.

Hope the kickers don't get any ideas... to go out by boat.

One thing to note, ever notice that the kickers always catch chinass trout?

The only good line is a tight line

I am going to invest in a drag chain soon.

As far as destructive. Weren't the floods destructive this spring? My 6 inches of chain will pale in comparison and the fishing on the White is awesome and most guides drag a chain there.
