patfish Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 for the weekend. If anyone has been at the park this week I'd appreciate a short report/tips & tricks. I've been battling severe tendonitis in my casting wrist for a couple weeks so I may only be able to fish a few hours (if I can make it that long I'll be happy) at a time. It's been a real drag. If you're there over the weekend and see a guy who looks like he hasn't fooled any, sitting on the back of green 4Runner drinking a beer, stop and say hello. I'll have the girlfriend in tow and she'll be taking pics when she's not outfishing me. I'll give whatever kind of report I can muster upon my return.
Luke Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 I'm sorry to here about your tendinitis, I hope you feel better soon. If you are only having problems with your casting wrist, I would seriously consider learning to cast with your other hand. Enjoy your time at Bennett. --Luke
patfish Posted October 22, 2008 Author Posted October 22, 2008 Thanks Luke. Yeah, I should probably learn to cast left handed, it couldn't be any worse than I am right handed. I'm really hoping that fly-fishing will be called "therapy" and the Dr. presicribes as much as possible. I'll have a blast either way. Thanks again.
FishinCricket Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 I can only give you a report on spin-fishing the pouth of the spring on the river, but it has been a blast! 10 an hour sometimes using crawdad lures deep.. Seems they will hit on anything that makes alot of noise too, as long as it's deep and stationary (think a rattletrap on a sinker, hugging the bottom) cricket.c21.com
