Members tgard27 Posted October 23, 2008 Members Posted October 23, 2008 Went out to capps on tuesday. The water was pretty clear and around 60 degrees. Started up by the mill and caught a small rainbow on a pheasant tail. Went down further and caught one more on a size 20 black midge. Things got slow from there on out. I hooked into one fish on a size 8 cone head brown wooly bugger, it put up a good fight and snapped my tippet on me. That was possible the biggest brown that I have ever hooked into. I kept wading down the stream and didn't notice too many more fish out there. Can anyone tell help me on were I could find a good spot for browns out there, it is a very pretty stream and I only catch and release.
ollie Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 You should hook-up with Buzz and I on Thanksgiving weekend. You need to put in a lot of time on that stream to figure it out. I won't tell you where they are because I don't know you, but if you hook-up with someone on here I'm sure we would be glad to help you! Buzz Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 tgard27, Thanks for the report. I'm glad you hooked into a big brown. I haven't seen any for a while, although I know they are in there. There are some really good spots on the creek for trout in general and some spots where the browns should be. I'll probably try it out again in a couple of weeks and of course Thanksging weekend. You are welcome to join us, it should be a good time. Buzz If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
Members tgard27 Posted October 25, 2008 Author Members Posted October 25, 2008 THanks for the reply. Ollie I'll try to be down there on thanksgiving weekend. I don't blame you for being protective of your spots, especially because you don't know who I am.
