dwiebenga Posted October 28, 2008 Posted October 28, 2008 I fished out of Shell Knob for 3 days and had pretty good success all three days on a variety of baits and depth. Caught probably 40 fish with 10 being solid keepers. Not too bad for my first trip this year. Caught fish early on a spook off some points and transition banks. Caught two big smallmouth (17ins) on FB jigs in about 18 feet of water Had a good day yesterday with Spinnerbaits along sunny banks with wind. Also caught my first "double" off of a spook on Holiday Island. That was interesting. Top baits were: Spook, 1/2 oz or 5/8 oz FB Jig in PBJ or Candy Melon, Double Willow Blade in purple shad. I will try to post pics later on this week. Thank you for all the valuable information that I collected from the site. Dave
