Did everyone quit fishing?? I am going to fish that crappie tourney at Stockton tomorrow and see how they are biting the only thing that sucks is i have 1 dozen shiners because the bait store is sold out for the next couple weeks so i had to improvise and get the crappie minnows hope they do their job for me this is the last trip for me this year out there so hopefully i can post some good results.

I was wondering the same thing... except for bass. I am going up tomorrow to bass fish... when I checked on here for reports, I could hear the crickets chirping...

It doesn't look like anybody is fishing at all, judging from the lack of reports... It should be a great time to catch'em right now too. <_<

Good luck finding some crappie Bigfish.

It looked like spring time at Stockton yesterday. There were boats everywhere. The bass were biting real good but the guys after whites and crappie seemed to be having it tough.

Any old bait at all worked but spinnerbaits were pretty good.

Great. Thanks for the information Dutch.

Well I don't hunt... and it is one of the best bass fishing times of the year. Guys can miss out on the good fishing if they want to, but I'm not... I'm fishing.

By the way, we went ahead and went down to Table Rock, instead of coming up to Stockton, and did pretty well. We got 26 bass to the boat (not to mention the 4 or 5 that got off) including a 5lb 9oz (weighed on digital scale) toad Largemouth. Boy was that fish strong!! It turned out to be a pretty good day, despite all of the boats... there was a boat on every point and every bank. The bass fishermen down at Table Rock must not have got the memo that they were supposed to be hunting instead. Everybody and their mother was out there.

P.S. We fished until after dark because we were catching fish, and I caught the 5-9 after dark. Here are some pics. She was released unharmed.

I put in at Mutton Creek last Sat. My partner and I caught fish all day long on spinnerbaits jigs and crankbaits. Bright sun and not a cloud in the sky and the spinnerbait was the best thing goin'. We did have just the right amount of wind that day. We caught fish on every bank we hit that day.

I heard that Friday they ate like pigs up there during the prefront conditions. I put in Sat. at Greenfield and only had a dozen or so shorts by noon so I packed it up. I couldn't figure anything out that day. Too much Tryptofan in the shad they ate on Friday. The water temps up there were pretty cool 56-58, post front, bluebird skies w/ little to no wind. When I left there were at least 30 rigs there with most people fishing within site of the ramp for whites and crappie. I spent a lot of time around there and saw maybe 3 or 4 dinks caught out of those boats.

You should be able to get some nice crappie and walleye to fry up. I'm for that. When and where do we eat?? Just kidding. Good luck and enjoy!

We are definitely coming up there this weekend for some bass fishing. If the bass fishing gets slow, maybe we will switch to crappie and walleye ourselves. You've got me hungry now!!
