Jon, The fishing reports, in most papers, are a Chamber of Commerce, "come on down" kind of thing. I've lived on LOZ for enough years to be able to compare fish reports with actual fishing conditions. If they always say that it is "good", then they are right a good percentage of the time. This smithville report is probably accurate. With water temps cooling down, those fall crappie should become aggressive again.
