Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted March 17, 2006 Root Admin Share Posted March 17, 2006 Talked to Quinton- MDC shocked last week and there were "walleye everywhere". He said they were catching them mostly at night. No other details. It's been very quiet on this forum on pothole walleye- I guess those that know don't want the word out!! It's out! Please, if you go let us know what's going on.
vonreed
Hello Phil, I was just curious, did they shock all the walleye in the actual pothole itself or downstream? the last time I was down that way it was pretty small, I was thinking about going down there tonight for some bank fishing and then I seen your post and was surprised to hear the walleye report. thanks. Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted March 17, 2006 Author Root Admin Share Posted March 17, 2006 They usually shock as far upstream as they can go down to the Barker Hole but they are not tagging and don't need that many so hard to say where they went. But fishing has been very good at night- so says Quinton. Haven't talked to any actual fisherpeople.

vonreed
I started out at barker just fishing off the bank, then went upstream and talked to a guy getting ready to put a little jon in and he offered so I went with him. we just stayed above barker though, didn't go far. I caught a few whites tonight at swan creek. there seems to be a few in there to catch now.
Fish Bork
I'm gonna try to go down there tomorrow night any tips on what I can expect and what to use. Gonna try some floating raps any color preference? Time flies like an arrow. Fruit flies like a banana.
Wayne SW/MO
I can only tell you what others tell me, I rarely catch anything because they always come up after my bed time, but Clown is popular as is White. Jerkbaits seen to be the lure of choice. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Members Skeeter Jr.
We went down Friday night and did some fishing. All we caught after dark was a crappie and this one. 22 1/2 inchs. I would have to say it was a female. We did catch one short during the day. Also for those that are interested i think the white bass are starting to run, my dad and sister were out saturday and they were catching some nice ones.
