Bman Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 Had my son Matt and his wife Tisha down at the park with me Sunday. Matt caught and released a 24 inch Rainbow female dopping eggs, poor female looked like she had escaped a close encounter with an eagle. Maybe the one I saw scoping out the fish Friday. Matt stayed with her till she was good for release. Note* I use nothing less than 5x to get these bigger fish in A.S.A.P. the big ones get stressed enough after one fight. You catch one on 7x...you are probably going to kill it. To me a real bad feeling. High light of the day was when I put my daughter in law on her first lunker. A handsome rainbow, not a mark on it(never been caught) 21 inches long X 12 inch girth. 21 x 12 x 12 / 800 = 3.78 Lbs The only good line is a tight line
DoveTail Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 I bet she was excited. That's great. I'm sure the eagles miss a few and leave some marks. They are pretty cool to see.
laker67 Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 Bman, Congrats to your Daughter-in-law. A great looking fish.
