Open Buddy Tournament This Weekend

Everyone I called to see about this one.. Little tournament to help with the seniors grad project.. Open to anyone at the Old 86 Hwy Ramp, you can fish alone if you like, $50.00 entry fee per boat. 7:00am to 3:00pm.. Like Eric Said what else to you have to do???

Not sure but I think it is 50% payback. I'm going to try to make it. Haven't even been on the lake in well over a month. To busy chasing that big horned ghost of the woods and finally got him.

I needed an excuse to go fishing this weekend. Between this and the inlaws I think I have enough.

Can someone help me out with directions to Old 86 from Ozark? I am navigationally declined.

Take 65 south to HWY86, head west approx 10 miles and you will see a sign for Old 86 Park on your right, I can't remember which road it's on but it is marked.

OR, you can launch at State Park and run south west across the lake to the long gravel point that runs way out into the lake, on the south side of that point is Old 86 park. Almost directly across from Lakes branch and Emerald point.

65 South to 86 west 6.6 miles to hwy UU. Right on UU 1.5 to old 86 park. I did see the park ranger go by yesterday, and this is a pay for play park. If you don't have a current corps sticker on your mirror, you better put some cash in the pay box and get a sticker, or you will for sure get a ticket on Sunday. They have really taken this serious this year, and will not hesitate to get ya.

This park has been closed all year, but it is ready to go now. Good luck on your derby.

Hey Guys,

Just talked with Pat Marriot (he's running the tournament) he has some concerns about the weather, high of 41 with 20 mph winds, and is going to make the call on Friday evening whether to have the tournament or not. I will post on here as soon as I hear anything from him. If you won't have access to the forum and plan on fishing feel free to call him Fri or Sat to make sure he is still have the event. his number is 417-527-0991.
