denjac Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 Have been hunting a big buck uo at Stockton Lake all week, Saw him before season real good 10-12 point and around 200lbs. During season just glimpses of him. Yesterday was hunting 50 yards away from one of his scrapes. Mid morning I got up and walked. Went into a patch of woods 300 yards from the scrape and there he was. Saw each other at the same time, took the shot although it was very brushy and around 70 yards. Missed! Walked on to where my son was and around 1 hour later returned to the scrape. He had went to it after I shot at him and worked it up good. Talk about a slap in the face. Guess thats why he is a monster! Oh well maybe black powder season. Dennis Boothe Joplin Mo.
