stinger160 Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 Great catch, can you give us a few details on how you fish it?
timsfly Posted December 3, 2008 Author Posted December 3, 2008 I throw it upstream of the fish I'm fishing for and it sinks pretty quick, I let it swing in the current keeping it right off the bottom I like it to roll and bounce off the bottom a bit, and the trout will usually pick it up as it swings up off the bottom, I've had fish turn on their nose, standing nose down on the bottom trying to pick up the bunny bug. I have had good luck fishing it in the faster riffles also, sometimes I'll throw it out straight downstream, give the line some slack and let the fly sink, and then work it back in a quick twitch just a few inches at a time, I've had fish come all the way out of the water to hit the bunny bug, Tim Homesley 23387 st. hwy 112 Cassville, Mo 65625 Roaring River State park Tim's Fly Shop www.missouritrout.com/timsflyshop
Murdoc Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 Tim and I were talking Friday and he said watch this. He pulled out that huge double bunnie. The fish in the pool were very dosel until that thing hit the water. They were all over it! They got tired of it quick but it was a site to see!! Thanks Tim for sharing! I would have had a hard time beleaving it if I hadn't seen it my self! Smiles are free http://rdpflyrods.com/

I coming down with a couple of guys from KC to fish Saturday. We'll stop by around 9:30 or so and pick up a couple to try. I need to learn some new ways to catch the bigger fish.
