am4mu
I am the shop supervisor of a mold shop. We build several different type of molds for plastic bottles in the plastics industries. Usually this is our slow time of the year and our sales pick up after new years when our customers new budgets come out. Right now we are good through December and sales for January and February are already coming in. I will say this though, most of these sales are coming through our existing customer base. We are fortunate in that we have developed several new large customers in 2008 and this could prove VERY beneficial to us in 2009. Overall we could be doing a lot worse. am4mu
Just thought of something. I would be remiss if I did not add to my previous post that two years ago we cut down to a skeleton crew and I now have a new appreciation for the term JIT manufacturing.
