This is my interpretation and I think it is correct.

The max output for TRD is 230 megawatts or 15,100 cfs. When it says 200, that is in megawatts. They will be generating at 87% capacity (200/230) or roughly 13,000 cfs.

Today looks like one of those all or nothing days. They will be ramping up from 7am to 10am with water dropping til around noon. Same in the evening for a bit. Of course they do vary from the projections occasionally.

0700=2 units

0800=4 units

They're running water

It's usually 1 unit = 50 megawatts

I wish they could project out a little further accurately. I have a long drive from KC with limited opportunities to head south. I would like to be able to read the charts and know with a little more certainty that there will be wadable and fishable conditions. I realize weather has a big impact on it, but after so many years the corps should have a pretty good grasp on the hydrodynamics of the system and impact of rain, wind, etc.

I always wondered how those numbers worked. Thanks for the question and answers.

I always wished the same thing when living in STL. Got tired of all the guess work mixed with long drive, so I just moved down this way. I just call now and when it is off, I can be there in 20 minutes.

Well, now I'm confused. If 800 = 4 units and 700 = 2 units, then 600 = 0 units?
