duckydoty Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 Well, now I'm confused. If 800 = 4 units and 700 = 2 units, then 600 = 0 units? 0700 is 7:00am, in which they were generating 2 units. 0800 is 8:00am, in which they were generating 4 units. They give you the generation schedule every hour using a 24hr. clock. Each unit equals approximately 50 megawatts. For example: 0900 150, would be 9:00am, 3 units generating or 2100 50, would be 9:00pm one unit generating. bigredbirdfan Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 How can two generators produce as much as 4? Some days 4 are running and very little flow and some days two is flat moving? Do you just look at percentage of the total generating ability to look at flow?
duckydoty Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 4 generators at 50 % capacity is equal to 2 generators at 100 % capacity. At least that is what the math says???? A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! Visit my website at.. Ozark Trout Runners
Terry Beeson Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 CFM is a better gauge of how much water is moving. The number of units is more or less useless to an extent. Just because a unit is running does not mean it is open to capacity. So, there may be one unit running at full or two units running at 60% or 4 running at 30%. I know... confusing.... but I pretty much stay kun-fuzzled when it comes to generation... vanven Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 If you want to look straight at the projection chart anything below 1500 cfs or 20 mwh leaves most of the upper end wadable. The area around and straight out from outlet 3 is really great fishing in these conditions. That is from Lilley in another post. A good source. -Jerod
troutchaser Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 0700 is 7:00am, in which they were generating 2 units. 0800 is 8:00am, in which they were generating 4 units. DUH!!! Paul Rone
